The wedding itself, and the following reception, will be held at the Fisherman's Inn in Elburn, IL, located about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago. It is located on the southwest corner of Illinois Route 47 and Main Street Road, somewhat south of downtown Elburn. It will begin promptly at 5:00 pm on Saturday, July 24, 2004.
The wedding party will be staying at the Comfort Inn in Geneva, about 10 miles east of the Fisherman's Inn. It is located at 1555 E Fabyan Parkway, just east of its intersection with Kirk Road.
Both the hotel and the restaurant can be accessed from Interstate 88.
To the hotel: To get to the hotel from I-88, exit northbound at Farnsworth Ave., and proceed north past Fermilab; Farnsworth Ave. becomes Kirk Rd. Turn right at Fabyan Parkway, and immediately turn left into the hotel's parking lot.
Note that I-88 in Chicago is a tollway, and going westbound there is a $.30 toll at Farnsworth Ave. that must be paid using exact change.
To the restaurant: From I-88 going eastbound, exit at IL 47 going north. Proceed about two miles to the intersection with Main Street Road (a stop sign), and turn left. The driveway for the restaurant will be immediately on your left.
From I-88 going westbound, there is no direct exit to IL-47. Instead, take the exit marked US 30/IL 56/IL 47. Proceed on that road for about 4 miles to an interchange with IL-47. Take IL-47 northbound for several miles, past the entrance to I-88 westbound. Main Street Road is a stop sign about two miles north of the I-88 westbound interchange; turn left and immediately turn left again into the restaurant's driveway.
Renting the car is the best way to reach the wedding from the airport. Public transit is unavailable, and due to the distance taxi or limousine service will most likely be prohibitively expensive.
From Midway: Midway Airport is located at 5700 S. Cicero Ave. (IL 50) in Chicago. Proceed North on Cicero Ave to its intersection with I-55 (the Stevenson Expressway). Take I-55 South (which actually runs westbound here) to I-294 North, and then continue for several miles to the ramp for I-88 westbound.
From O'Hare: O'Hare Airport is located at the end of the I-190 loop road, near the intersection of I-90 and I-294. To get to I-88 from O'Hare, follow the loop road out of the airport. At the interchange with I-294, exit Southbound. Take I-294 south for several miles and follow the ramp to I-88 westbound.
Start out westbound (toward Kirk Rd; turn right) out of the parking lot. Follow Fabyan Parkway past an intersection with Hughes Rd (it curves to the left at this intersection; Hughes is to the right). Turn a slight right onto Main Street Road. Follow Main Street Road past IL 47 to the restaurant.
To return, turn right out of the parking lot and follow Main Street Road. Then take a slight left at Fabian Parkway, and follow Fabian Parkway past Hughes and Kirk. Just past Kirk, turn left into the hotel.
